I was almost to work, when Miley Cyrus's song "The Climb" started to play on my radio stations top 20 countdown. Her song has been out for a while and was still number 18. I've listened to this song many times and have actually taken inspiration from it, but never thought that it completely referred to me.
OK, now when I first heard this song coming out on the radio, I thought, "I can't believe they are putting a Miley Cyrus song on this radio station." So, I didn't really listen to it. Well one time, I did! Man, was I wrong when I thought she had nothing to offer a 44 year old man!
I began to REALLY listen to this song and realized more and more that it is about the struggles of 'making it'. It's about trying to complete that one thing you want to do. It's about the journey through your days, months, years; through your adventures, sorrows, accomplishments and failures. I think it's not only about what kind of person your going to be in the end, but also what kind of achievement your going to end up with at the end because of your 'climb'.
No matter what goal you have set for your self, for your life, read these lyrics... listen to the song... maybe it can inspire you to.
Here are the lyrics to the song:
"I can almost see it. That dream I'm dreaming. But there's a voice inside my head saying, "You'll never reach it!" Every step I'm taking. Every move I make feels. Lost with no direction. My faith is shaking. But I, gotta keep trying. Gotta keep my head held high.
There's always gonna be another mountain. I'm always gonna wanna make it move. Always gonna be a uphill battle. Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose. Ain't about how fast I get there. Ain't about what's waiting on the other side. It's the climb.
The struggles I'm facing. The chances I'm taking. Sometimes might knock me down. But no, I'm not breaking. I may not know it. But these are the moments that. I'm gonna remember most, yeah. Just gotta keep going. And I, I got to be strong. Just keep pushing on.
There's always gonna be another mountain. I'm always gonna wanna make it move. Always gonna be an uphill battle. Somebody's gonna have to lose. Ain't about how fast I get there. Ain't about what's waiting on the other side. It's the climb, yeah!
Keep on moving, keep climbing. Keep the faith, baby. It's all about, it's all about the climb. Keep the faith, keep your faith, whoa!"
Thanks Miley!
Just as with personal credit, building business, or corporate, credit takes time and effort. The benefit of getting loans with corporate terms and rates suitable for your business is well worth it. A corporate loan offers the borrower more money at lower interest rates and with more flexible terms of repayment – without requiring the borrower to submit personal assets as collateral for the loan. Therefore, a business loan could potentially allow you to grow your business in a direction that personal loan financing could not, such as opening another location or buying a new fleet of vehicles'
The process of building good business credit should begin when you initially start your business. Apply for a Federal Tax Identification Number. Depending on your type of business, you might consider setting up your operation as a corporation, S-corporation, or limited-liability company, depending upon the advice of your attorney. Each state's incorporation laws vary, so one form of incorporation may be better for your business than another subject to where you incorporate. And, don't forget to obtain any necessary business licenses from your city, county and/or state, as required.
Eventually, your business will need to have a physical address with at least one landline phone in order to be considered for a corporate loan. However, in the beginning, don't saddle yourself with overhead expenses that you don't absolutely need just yet. If you can run your operation out of your house with a cell phone, go ahead and do so for awhile. But, do take out a few very small business loans that you don't really need and pay them back promptly to establish some business credit. Also, if you do business with vendors on credit, ask them to report how you've handled your credit with them to at least one of the major credit bureaus. Those small business loans and vendor credit will both help to build your business's credit history, so use them to your best advantage.
While you're developing your business's credit, don't neglect your own personal credit – before or after you've incorporated. Incorporating your business will protect your personal assets, but it will not erase your personal bad debts and decide not to make the corporate loan.
From the first day that you start your business, you should consider a plan for building its credit. You may be a sole proprietor – and the company's sole employee – set up in the middle of your garage right now, but what if that new doohickey with the doodlebop you designed really takes off? Corporate borrowing power will allow you to keep up with your product's demand.

The week of July 21st thru 26th was a week of intense MBA level training, introductions to a few of the most phenomenal speakers in the world and NO SLEEP WHAT-SO-EVER! HaHa... Tracy and I were able to meet and learn from the likes of Lisa Nichols, Bob Proctor, Mark Victor Hansen, as well as MANY other incredible professionals. Another amazing part of this group is that we share contacts and information to better our businesses and ideas.
We went to CEO Space to get the necessary connections to build our restaurant and retreat. We were able to make some incredible connections and some perfect alliances to get this all going. Tracy met with a couple of the physicians from The Wellness Bank and was able to begin a VERY good connection for an alliance with them. We were able to make connections in the non-profit arena as well. We may have found a company's umbrella that we can stand under while creating our retreat.
More To Come...
Thursday, July 9th, my work told me that my schedule would be changing from Mon-Fri 4:30am-1pm (which gave me plenty of time with my family, friends and meetings), to Fri-Tue 10:30am-7pm, which SUCKS! When I told my wife this information, expecting anarchy, she simply stated, "It's the Universe telling us to be true to what we want. You yourself said you would not be at that job during the Holidays remember...that is why you signed up to work for that holiday (I can't remember which one it was but I think you know what I am talking about). T." My reply was "AH HELL"!!!!
SO... we jumped on the phones and started talking to our contacts and CEO Space. The next event is their biggest event ever in Las Vegas. Even though we haven't secured the funds needed to attend, we have already booked our hotel for the week and are prepared to make our dreams come true.

Start counting the number of social media websites you have a profile with, right now. Out of fingers yet? Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, and YouTube are just the start of it – for people active on social websites, you could have several dozen social media profiles, half of them using a really old picture of you.
While inbox spam and old pictures may not be the end of the world, keeping up a consistent image across the web and keeping your content fresh is vital to good business and strong relationships. With a little upfront effort, the task of maintaining multiple profiles can be less tedious, freeing up time to better connect with other people.
Step 1. Understand your Current Position
Step 2. Choose Your Platforms Realistically
Step 3. Organize!
Step 4. Automate and Combine Your Profiles
Step 5. Keep it Fresh
Go Forth and Network!

This first blog post is dedicated to my my family! Without the love of my wife beautiful wife Tracy and the joy of my son Dakota, I would still be trapped in the shell of man possessed by the daily norm. My wife allowed me to travel with her as she started her journey to becoming a free spirit, an entrepreneur spirit. Over the past few months, I have had the privilege of connecting with some of the most influentially essential spirits in the entrepreneur world.
Through this connection, I will be offering my own thoughts as well as others. I will have the posts of respected Twitter and Facebook connections. Here, you will also find connections to other influential blogs whom I believe we should all be following.
I hope you enjoy my ride!
